A licensed and ordained minister of the Gospel, Rev. Lydia "Pat" Ford is a gifted preacher, teacher, prayer warrior, and seminar facilitator. She serves as an Associate Minister at Hopewell Baptist Church in Windsor, CT under the leadership of Rev. Dr. David L. Massey. Using her gift as a teacher (she has taught elementary school for over 30 years) Rev. Ford teaches Sunday School and Discipleship classes. Additionally, she served as Women's Ministry Director for over ten years. God richly blessed the ministry and under her leadership the ministry:
An international minister, Rev. Ford traveled to the Bahamas in October of 2004, participating in the Connecticut State Missionary Congress Of Christian Education Preaching Team. The team of preachers travels to the Bahamas and Barbados to spread the Gospel, and provide monetary gifts and school supplies to several schools that they support.
A powerful prayer warrior, Rev. Ford believes in the power of prayer. She believes that everything she is in Christ, has been brought about because of the power of prayer in her life. She is blessed because of her mother's and grandma's prayers, but she has learned for herself that: "The effectual fervent prayers of the righteous availeth much".
Rev. Ford is thoroughly equipped to minister to God's people. Her accomplishments include:
- Master of Science degree in Education
- Evangelism certificate
- Graduate of Hartford Seminary's Black Ministers Program
- Graduate of FaithWorks Development Leadership Institute
She lives in Connecticut with her covenant husband of more than 30 years, Deacon Thomas P. Ford, and they are the proud parents of Mrs. Danielle Marie Geter and Trevor James Ford.
