Some of you out there are wondering to day; "How long will this attack last? How long with this sickness keep me bound? How long before my child returns to the Lord? How long will my husband be crippled by this addiction? How long before my ministry takes off?
For those of you who have asked that question, let me help you with the answer. The size of the prize determines the severity of the fight! The enemy knows your vulnerability and he will push you to your limits. When he does, remember: "Blessed is the man who endures... when he has been approved, he will receive the crown" (James 1:12)NKJV). "Approved" means victory qualifies you for greater things. "Endures" means your staying power is being tested. So, "having done all...stand." You, say, "How long will this attack last?" the Prince of Darkness hindered Daniel's prayers for twenty-one days (Daniel 10:13(. Goliath defied the armies of Israel forty days and nights. (See I Samuel 17). Your enemy is relentless; you must be, too. When it comes to prayer, your persistence overcomes his resistance. "You have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise" (Hebrews 10:36).
David didn't get into trouble with Bathsheba until he left the battlefield. It is the safest place to be. So stay there, keep fighting and God will come to your aid. When Joshua needed extra time to defeat his enemies, the sun stood still. God was saying, "As long as the sun doesn't go down you won't go down either, for the same power that's holding it up is holding you up." Isn't that great?
Jesus healed people in different ways. Some He spoke to others He touched. One day He told ten lepers to go and show themselves to the priest. And the Bible says: "As they went, they were cleansed" (Luke 17:14). They were probably wondering, "When will it happen? How will it happen? Faith doesn't demand details, it just keeps moving obediently forward, believing God for the right result!
I heard Bishop Paul Morton say last night at "The First Cathedral," these words: "The quickest way to receive your promise is to give God some praise. The moment Daniel prayed, God heard and answered his prayer. Likewise, the moment you and I prayed, God sent the answer. The problem is , not only did God hear the request, the devil did too! And we know that there are demonic powers at work to keep God's blessing from coming to you. That is why you and I need to know our rights. Yes, we have rights! Not only do we have rights, but we have angelic assistance that we can call upon for assistance whenever we get into trouble. There are warring angels that we can send on assignment to fight against the principalities and demonic forces in the spirit realm. We also have angels that are working on our behalf to bring the answers to our prayers.
Bishop old us that angels work according to protocol. They have rank and they have order just like the demonic host do. Angels harken to the word of God: " Bless the Lord, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word. Bless ye the Lord, all ye his host; ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure. (Psalm 103:20-21).
We must watch the words that we speak. Negative words cancel out our petitions, supplications, and request. Seal your prayers with thanksgiving and speak them in faith. Remind God of His promises. If necessary get your Bible and pray the exact words back to Him from the Word. Most people don't realize that we can summons their angels to fight for us. People don't know that angels are our assistants. When I lose things in my house or other places, I ask my angels to help me find them. And most of the times, if I wait on the Lord, He leads me to them.
A wise man named Job, said: "All my appointed time, I'm gonna wait until my change comes. At the end of the fighting discourse between God and the devil, Job was rewarded! He received double for his afflictions and misfortunes, which was immense.
Jesus hung, bled, and died on the cross until He secured our salvation. He hung in there and fought the good fight of faith; knowing that He had already obtained the victory. And we are the beneficiaries of His fight/ his warfare with the devil.
Be encourage my sister and my brother! We go from victory to victory, giving God the glory for His sustainable power through the Holy Spirit.
It is another beautiful Autumn Day! God Bless All of You.
