I know, I know, you got your "Boo," your husband, wife, favorite cousin, sorority or fraternity brother; but for me, all of these individuals cannot measure up to having Jesus tag along with you every day.
In our busy lives and day to day distractions and combative environment, it can be easy to lose out on this wonderful relationship that our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He wants to fellowship with you and me "Big Time." God is calling us to live a life of constant communication with Him. Basic training, "Building Intimacy 101," includes learning to live above your circumsances, even while interacting on that cluttered plane of life.
There are times that I yearn and desire a more simple lifestyle. There are days when I just don't want to answer the phone, doorbell, read a text, log on to Facebook etc. I would prefere to spend time seeking God and enjoying a quiet time of fellowship with Him at my house. But truth be told, you and I are challenged to relinquish that fairy tail or notion, because we live in a world of constant interruptions, clutter, and unexpected crisis.
What we need to do is accept each day just as it comes and find Jesus in the midst of it all. Let Him come along for the ride. That's is what He really wants to do anyway. He wants to be involved in every aspect of our lives. He doesn't want us to push the panic button, sound the alarm, ring up heaven when we are having a terrible, horrible, no good day! He wants to hang out with us at the beach, mall, grocery store, bank, on a street corner while you wait for the bus and a host of other places.
Remember that your ultimate goal is not to control or fix everything around you; it is to keep communing with the Lord. A successful day is one in which we have stayed in touch with the Lord, even if many things remain undone, unchanged, or jacked-up, messed-up, tore-up from the floor-up.
We must not let our to-do-list whether it is written down or in our head, become an idol directing our lives. Instead, we should or must ask the Holy Spirit to guide us moment by moment. In that way He will keep close to you and me.
What a friend we have in Jesus; all our sins and griefls to bear. What a priviledge to carry everything gto God in prayer. You know what? I found out that the word, "EVERYTHING," actually means, "EVERYTHING!!!
We are having a wonderful, the weather hasn't been terribly cold, and foliage is absolutely beautiful. Who could paint such beautiful landscape? No one except and EXCEPTIONAL GOD. HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY AND AS ALWAYS:
DON'T FORGET TO SAY YOUR PRAYERS!
