The Bible says that we are not to be ignorant of the strategies and devices of the devil. He is a deceiver, one that seeks to steal, kill and destroy our lives. We are always to be alert so that the enemy of our souls does not get the advantage over us and take what rightfully belongs to us.
For the Christian, we are in a very important time and season. In Rod Parsley’s book: "God’s Endtime Calendar," he invokes us to take notice of the “Prophetic Meaning Behind Celestial Events and Seasons. It is God who has set in motion His times, cycles, and seasons. There are more than 800 verses in the Bible in which God declares He is concerned with times, seasons and cycles. I don’t have time to go into all that Pastor Parsley lays out in his book, but he lets us know that there are two calendars. The one we are more familiar with is the “Gregorian” calendar, which is based on the solar positioning of the sun. However, God’s calendar is a lunar calendar, which is His will and His ways.
The original Hebrew, does not just say that the sun, moon, and stars will be for “signs” at least not in the simple sense that this English word conveys. Instead, the original Hebrew says that the sun, moon, and stars are to mark “religious festivals” or “sacred times.” They are tokens or signs of God’s covenants and His sovereign benevolent care for His people.
The Hebrew word for this awesome truth is called, “mo’edim, translated “festival.”mo’edim means, “a set or appointed time.” It also means “appointed place, appointed meeting.” It indicates to “signify” or “act as a sign.” Now, before I get over my head, I said all that to say this: According to Leviticus 10:25, according to “God’s Calendar, “we in in the year of “Jubilee.”
Leviticus 25:8-12 “You shall count seven weeks of years, seven times seven years, so that the time of the seven weeks of years shall give you forty-nine years. Then you shall sound the loud trumpet on the tenth day of the seventh month. On the Day of Atonement you shall sound the trumpet throughout all your land. And you shall consecrate the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a jubilee for you, when each of you shall return to his property and each of you shall return to his clan. That fiftieth year shall be a jubilee for you; in it you shall neither sow nor reap what grows of itself nor gather the grapes from the undressed vines. For it is a jubilee. It shall be holy to you. You may eat the produce of the field.”
The Jubilee then came every fifty years. When the trumpet sounded on the fiftieth year, and specifically on the Day of Atonement, liberty would be proclaimed “throughout the land to all its inhabitants” and then all of the property that had been taken by others for unpaid debts would have to be returned to the original families (clans). On that year there would be no reaping or planting or gathering of the crops for it was to be “holy to” the nation Israel and everyone could “eat the produce of the field.” What a celebration that must have been. Everyone that had been indebted was then released from that debt and able to start over again by having their land returned to them.
So, what does this have to do with today’s blog? I’m glad you asked. I have decided to fast for the next twelve days. I have determined in my mind and spirit that I will not be denied or frustrated, concerned, anxious about what the devil is doing. I am going after what God in His sovereign will, has decided to give, restore, favor and graced me for, in its correct time and season. If God be for me, who can be against me!
And according to Leviticus 25, on God’s calendar, He has declared, and I believe it to be so. “IT IS THE YEAR OF JUBILEE.” It is my season; it is time to reap what I have sown. I will not be denied what rightfully belongs to me as a blood bought child of God. If God said it, I believe it, and that settles it. But I also realize that there is an adversary that is not going to just sit back and watch God hand over to you the blessings of increase, abundance and overflow. That is why it is important to speak clearly, effectively the Word of God over you life and circumstances. When you see things going in the exact opposite of where you know they should be going, “Pray, Fast, Trust, Stay In The Word, Believe God.”
I am reminded of a Scripture and a message that Pastor Massey preached one Sunday at Hopewell. The message came from 2 Samuel 5:20
19Then David inquired of the LORD, saying, "Shall I go up against the Philistines? Will you give them into my hand?" And the LORD said to David, "Go up, for I will certainly give the Philistines into your hand." 20So David came to Baal-perazim and defeated them there; and he said, "The LORD has broken through my enemies before me like the breakthrough of waters." Therefore he named that place Baal-perazim. 21They abandoned their idols there, so David and his men carried them away.…
I choose that Scripture because, sometimes you have to call on God to fight for you. We have to know that as citizens of heaven, we have access to the throne of grace. We have to know that we have angels that we can beckon, to come and assist us. When the enemy comes in, like a flood the Spirit of the Lord lifts up a standard against him.
In this season of Jubilee, we have to allow God to fight for and through us. We have to believe that everything God promised us will come through in its correct time and season. However, I am beseeching, God to fight and be the GOD OF THE BREAKTHROUGH FOR ME. I NEED HIME TO BURST THROUGH EVERY ENEMY THAT HAS BEEN ASSIGNED TO HINDER THE FOLLOWING: MY FAMILY, MY MINISTRY, MY HEALTH, MY FINANCES, MY CHURCH MEMBERS LIVES, FINANCES AND MINISTRIES, EVERYTHING NOT KNOW TO ME, BUT KNOWN TO GOD.
Have a good and godly day, and remember:
